Remote start not working after wreck.

So a week ago, somebody basically made a bad decision causing me to hit them, totally their fault. Anyway, it crushed in pretty much everything before the radiator on the passenger side, as well as the hood.

$5,000 in damage, just waiting on his insurance company to get their act together. In the meantime, I discovered that my factory installed remote start is not working. Does anyone know if there is a module or something located in the crashed in area? I would think not but it seemed to work fine before the wreck.

There is a switch that's connected to the hood latch.

The remote start wont operate if the hood is open. If it's the OEM remote starter its built into the latch. Make sure they fix that when it goes in for repair.
