Remote Start Question

I'm having trouble getting the auto start to work by the fob on a new 2023. It works by the app every time but the 3 press on lock button (hold the third) has only worked 2 times. I hear it beep but just wont kick off. Could I be holding it too long?

Is this an after market add on or factory? Does it do the same thing with both fobs? How far away are you trying to start it? Depending on if its after market or not I have have multiple alarms over the years and they all had different distances they would work.

Yes it came on the truck, both fobs do it, just beeps no start, works about every 5th time.

I can't imagine both fobs being bad. I would check the batteries like the other guy said, but I believe it's a programming issue, I did a Google search on how to reprogram a toyota 4 runner key fob and it does look like you can relearn them yourself. Hope that helps!

Can it be a timing issue?
On my last 4runner with the OEM remote start, it was two quick press of the unlock, pause and hold on the 3rd until the truck beeps.
Not sure if its the same timing with the push to starts models. I installed an aftermarket remote starter.
