Removable safari rack

Hey fellas. I'm looking for a removable safari rack. As much as I like the permanent ones, I'd like to be able to have the standard luggage rack when I need it as well. I've looked at the popular Yakima and Thule models....pretty pricey. Anyone have any experience with them?

I also noticed a nicely priced one from Curt. Anyone used this? Any other recommendations?

Anyone know what brand this rack is?

That is a Confer rack. I have a Confer half rack that I extended into a full rack. Got it for 40 bucks from a guy that has nothing but Toyotas up in Asheville.

Thanks for the suggestion. Any personal experience with them? I'd like something strong enough to carry a spare tire and maybe a hi-lift.

i got mine pretty cheap around 170 shipped. so far so good been through couple weeks of rain, no rust issues. but i did take up all the openings with electrical tape so that might've helped, as far as weight goes a 33" spare with gas can and hi lift should be A okay. they feel pretty solid

Got my conferr on craigslist for 100 bucks. works great, is heavy duty and removes easy via the yakima racks.
