Removal of 3M Woodgrain Dash Kit

I have had this aftermarket kit in my 4runner for a while and I would like to remove it. I was wondering what would be the best way to remove it leaving the dash intact.

Try a heat gun on low (or hair dryer) and use a trim removal tool to pry the wood pieces up once they're heated.

I'd scour eBay for replacement dash pieces before you take on this project - you don't have to buy them, just make sure you can buy them if you need to. I have a feeling you might have a few "oh crap I wish I hadn't done that" moments and might want to swap out dash pieces. :keyboard:

Hair dryer, floss, and a lot of time & patience

What would the floss be used for?

to slide between the wood grain and the dash panel to cut the double backed tape.

After you floss it, wd-40 to get all the adhesive off.

Definitely lots of heat and adhesive remover, the floss is much better than a pry tool because it won't scratch the dash pieces
