Removed my 96 limited fender flares and doot cladding.

So I just bought my first 4runner I'm not a fan of the fender flares and the door cladding so I decided to remove them. I'm gonna patch all the holes then put bedliner on the lower half. Should look good with the dark green. The last photo is the before.

There was so much mud and debris inside the cladding and flares I'm so surprised there isnt any rust.

Next up is a new set of wheels and tires. Probably gonna just go with another set of falken wildpeak only in 33s. With the 3inch lift I should clear 33s just fine.

Yea I tossed them. The back clip brackets all were broken.

Yea I wasnt a fan of the plastic flares at all. Gonna bed line tomorrow.

I'd like to do the same, but the flares have eaten the paint away so much I figure it would look like crap. Did you not experience that?

There is a faint line around each wheel opening that wouldn't quite buff out. Pretty sure my color, desert dune metallic is single stage paint, so the the flares did wear into the paint.

Got the holes patched and bedliner on last night. Very happy with how it turned out. It looks alot better in person! I used aluminum duct tape over the holes then used bondo over the top of that so it gave it a harder surface to bond to instead of the tape, Turned out really well.
