Removed the drain plug first when changing xfer case fludi

I recently changed my transfer case fluid, but when doing so I forgot to open the fill plug first, so the oil was "glugging" on the way out instead of coming out in a nice steady stream. I have seen some info on here stressing about how it is important to NOT do it this. How big of a deal is it really? Is it worth doing over? I am assuming the reason is because the stronger stream of oil will sweep out more debris?

the reason is because if you drain it before you verify that the fill plug can be removed only to find the fill plug is seazed, then you are screwed.

ok, makes sense. So i guess I won't worry about it since the fill plug came right out.
