My moms has the TV's in the headrests. (Dealer installed option) and I haven't looked into removing them. We have covers on them to avoid break ins. But I did notice the headrests are different. Her headrests adjust back and forth only I believe, and mine go up and dad. And when you push hers back it makes several clicks. Im sure it is possible though to remove it.

Yes, it is on the roof so the back seat may watch it.

OK if it looks like mine, I'm pretty sure you just pull off the bigger plastic light lenses with your fingernail, then unbolt the two bolts. Keep in mind you'll have some serious wiring to remove from the roof and you will have a big hole in your headliner as well.

Hope that helps,

OK I dont know how to load pdfs so I got some screen caps for ya from the manual.

That doesn't look TOO bad. Do you know if the audio/video is self contained or does the unit require the JBL system to function properly?

Not sure on that one...If I had to guess I bet Toyota probably has a proprietary plug/harness into the TV but not for sure. Even if thats the case, I bet it could be modded. Hopefully some of the more "electrically inclined" will chime in.
