Removing JBL amp/sub. Possible?

Hi all,

I'm curious if it's possible to remove the JBL system and replace the sub panel with the storage panel on non-jbl 4runner's. I'm not really concerned about losing the additional 4 speakers.

Ultimate goal would be to install a Scion Radio with a back up cam and remove the sub and amp and install the side cubby.

I've done extensive searching, and really only found that a scion/aftermarket radio is an iffy install with JBL.
