Removing stuff, Painting Trim

Ok so this weekend I'll be painting all emblems and the license plate holder thingy.

So, what is the true best method to taking the emblems off, and then put them back on?

How do I get the license plate thingy off?

The big "T" emblem on the back, how do I remove that all the way with out breaking it, and something about pins behind it, can I remove those and be able to put the whole thing back together.

I use my wifes hair dryer (don't have a heat gun) and a piece of dental floss to get the emblems off.

For the "T" on the front you can remove your grill, turn it around, and you'll see the screws holding the emblem on.

For the "T" on the back, I again use the hair dryer and dental floss to get as much adhesive off as possible, then I use a solid piece of plastic to pry it up. I actually have a trim remover thing...

To re-install the front obviously just screw it back on.

The rear T I use spray adhesive on the back, and heat up the old adhesive as well.

The other emblems I have never put back on, I just left mine off... If it were me, I would again use spray adhesive.

Depends on what you want to paint them with. If plasti-dip then no need to take them off besides the front grille emblem. Otherwise A.Wilson013's instructions are good. Check BigFishAllDay 2001 build thread for instructions on the license plate removal.
