Repair suggestions - cracked center armrest

Continuing with the quality decline of Toyota products, my 2016 SR5 now has a cracked center armrest. The crack is about 1 inch. Any good repair kits or methods or should I just spend the $300-$400 to replace?

Can you remove it and have it upholstered?

1. REMOVE CONSOLE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 6 screws and console compartment door.

2. REMOVE CONSOLE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 screws and console compartment door lock.

(b) Remove the 4 screws.

(c) Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws and remove the console compartment inner door.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(d) Remove the 4 screws and console compartment door hinge.

You should be able to find a good used one on Ebay for far less than a new one. Plus, many dealers sell new ones for less on-line.

Make sure you get a leather one from a Limited. Don’t buy the same kind that cracked.
