Replace carpet? Difficult?

How hard would it be to replace the carpet once its past being able to clean it. Also, who would be a good source for OEM replacement carpets? I have searched the web, but could not find a supplier for 4th gens.

Hello from Oak Ridge!

Check with some local dealers or upholstery shops for recommendations.

There are mobile companies that can make your carpet look like new if stained, worn or burned for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

That's awesome, I need to know who to call then. Because I am looking at one at the dealer, and their cleanup leaves a lot to be desired.

Try Brown's in Clinton 457-5774 or ask the dealer if they can address that for you through Dr. Vinyl or someone similar.

It would be very practical in a daily driver.

Toyota made a good point in one of their ad's for the FJ: "Carpet belongs in your living room, not your truck."

The interior carpet generally is a pre-molded, pre-cut piece. You have to remove the seats and pop off the door trim but it is not that difficult to do. I have done many on classic restos. I would also spend some time and dynamat the floor if you have the time/money.

i was contemplating on deadening my floors and my doors. other than providing better SQ from your speakers, do deadeners really make a drastic difference in filtering out road noise?
