Replaced passenger door, now the truck won't start.

So, I laid my truck on its side this weekend and needed a new door. Went to the salvage yard and pulled one that was close in color. Harness wasn't the same, so I pulled the harness out of the old door, wired it up, and now nothing works. No accessory feature work, no window/lock function, and it won't even turn over to start. Acts as if there's no battery. Is this something with the security system?

I don't think the door would have anything to do with that. Check your battery connections, maybe fuses?

Well, I just found the issue. The 40amp AM1 fuse is blown. Guess I'll track one down tomorrow. Anyone know how it comes out? Pulling on it didn't seem to work.

It should just pull straight out, might be a little sticky. Good luck.

I have had to do it this way: Disconnect battery, 5 min wait too drain any residual voltage, break plastic of fuse for access to metal stabs of fuse remove with needle nose pliers.

Yea that's what I ended up doing. When I tried to pull it out, it just crumbled. 20 yr old fuses at their lifespan I guess.

Wonder if it blew when you went sideways or installed the door?
