Replaced Timing belt on a 4.7 v8 now will not idle

Unless you forgot to re install spark plugs, the timing is off. Time to tear it back apart.

What exactly do you mean it will not idle?
Does the vehicle just not want to idle and tries to stall out but runs fine when you rev it a little above 1,000RPM.
OR
Does the vehicle run poorly/possibly misfire at higher RPMs?

Give this a shot:
Disconnect the Battery for about 10minutes (while you're waiting clean the MAF and Throttle Body) then reconnect it and let the vehicle run for about 5-10minutes with no loads (no lights, radio, A/C, ect.)
Chances are you did not let the vehicle relearn idle properly after you reconnected the battery (also if the throttle body is dirty, it will affect how it learns idle and at 169k I would suspect it's dirty.)
Give that a shot and get back to us.
