replacement headlight bulbs

If you first buy and install one of these:

HL282S Upgrade Headlamp Harness for Switched Ground Vehicles | Rally Lights

Then you can run any wattage headlight bulb you want.

I've put this harness into my last three trucks, including my current 4Runner.

I bought several 2-packs of these when I got the truck two years ago. They are one notch up in wattage from stock: 60/67W, instead of 55/60W. Still using the first set.
They give my headlights a nice, bright, "cop headlights" kind of look.
Even with these bulbs installed , my headlights are inferior to the aftermarket Hella and IPF replacement headlights I had on earlier vehicles. This is the downside of Toyota not using stock sealed-beam headlights on the late 2nd gen and up 4Runner.
