Replacement side mirror

hey guys I've. Been following this site since the day I signed off on my runner and it's never failed me since. That being said I'm looking for a good site/company to order a replacement driver side mirror. All I can find are factory unpainted mirrors. Deelership wants 306 bucks just for the part. Any better ideas? I plan on installing myself

I don't know of any good sources, other that finding one used. But I am pretty sure that all new oem, or aftermarket replacement units will come in black only. Since it would be difficult for any source to stock mirror covers in all the possible available colors, it is expected that you will have it painted to match at a local shop.

Yeah I got a quote from the dealership. They were asking 310 just for the part. did a little research and found a pretty reliable site called B & R autowrecking. They have alot of totaled vehicles and piece out the parts that are still in good condition.

They have alot of detailed pictures on every part which is more reassuring coming from a totaled car.


I didnt want to buy brand new because it wouldnt match the rest of wear and tear on my 06 runner.

Found my exact same 4runner at B&R and was able to find the part i needed for about 150. installed it myself and was able to save a couple hundred bucks.

Last year I dropped my kayak and sheared off a mirror. Was able to find clone replacement on amazon for about $50, same dark grey. Went on in 5min. Done! Paint was certainly worth the $250 diff close enough for me!!

I got my oem replacement mirror on ebay for like 40 bucks. It's simple to install. Pull the plastic cap off, remove the 3 bolts, remove and replace. Can't remember if the door panel has to come off, it might cover some of the bolts, but it's just 2 screws, and pop the clips, super easy

Buy the unpainted aftermarket mirror, then take it to a local body shop, or order factory-matched paint in an aerosol can and paint yourself.

Cost of mirror = ~$50
Cost of body shop to paint =~$50-100
Cost of ordering rattle can in factory paint code =~$30.

Add your choices together and you are half the price of the dealership.

Door panel has to come off. But yes 10-15 min install. Super easy
