Replacing CV Joint Boot

I have a 2003 4Runner Sport. The CV joint boot is cracked. Does anyone know how to change the joint boot? I have been unable to find a manual. Is it better to change the axle, joint and boot at the same time?

There are some write ups on here. Use the search feature. In addition, here is a link so you can down load the service manual.
I need to do this my self and will soon. I ordered the complete axial assemblies for $70 each from J.C, Whitney on line with free shipping. I've been told that it is an easy doityourself thing.
Replace all of it if you can.

$450 job

At 150,000 miles and have a cracked cv boot. Getting it fixed now (no garage to do it myself) and it's not cheap at $450.

Woah!!! I had mine done yesterday morning (here is why), it cost me $303 at the dealership. They did both the inner and outer boot. It sucks not living in the same state as my father any more, he's a mechanic and he just makes me pay for parts ($44 for the boots)
