While returning from a favorite, way off highway, fishing spot, my 2000 Limited got speared directly in the passenger side fog light. The fog light itself survived but its bracket was folded backwards enough to break it just forward of the light's mounting screw.
It appears that the only way to replace the bracket is to replace the entire light assembly. If there's a source for just the bracket I'd like to know. Otherwise I'll get the whole shebang. Which leads to the question: how difficult, or not, is it to remove the bracket from the bumper? It appears that the uppermost bracket mounting point is trapped between the bumper and some trim strip. The link here to replace the lights does not include replacing the bracket.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
George
