Replacing Radiator - Anything else while I'm in there?

My 2000 4Runner 4cyl 2.7L just passed the 90k mile mark. The service manual only says flush coolant and change the oil. However, since reading up on the pink milkshakes, I figure now's a good time to swap out the radiator. Most people seem to suggest the Koyos. Is there anything else that I "should" do while I'm at it? I was going to do the timing belt and water pump, until I realized that I have a timing chain.

You have as 2000 with only 90k miles??? :jaw:

Is there a reliable online vendor for these OEM parts? The ones I found look kind of shady. Hate to order from the dealership if at all possible.

Parts.camelbacktoyota.com is a great one. I've ordered from them a few times and prices are reasonable considering they are a dealership and genuine Toyota branded parts.

x2 on Camelback Toyota, I buy everything from them. If you spend $60 and over you get free shipping, you can't beat that! FYI, I got an Toyota OEM radiator from them for around $208 bucks, and cap for around $15, Koyo is good but not as good as OEM, and for around $60 more than Koyo it was a no brainer for me.

Thanks. Is there a point to replacing the thermostat housing or should I just replace the thermostat?

IMHO no. But do be aware that one or more of the mounting housing studs (there are three) may come loose when removing the thermostat housing and thermostat. Apply a little blue Loctite to the threads and retighten.

Also make sure that you have a new gasket to go around the new thermostat.
