Replacing the actual check engine light

I tried searching this and I have a feeling it's so simple there's not a thread on it. Upon emissions inspection I was informed there is either no CEL in my runner or it's burnt out and I need to replace it to pass.

Has anyone done this before? Any tips, tricks or knowledge of what bulb I'll need?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I took some pics one of the times I removed my cluster... starts post 3607

The cluster itself is likely not exactly the same, but removal and general what-who should get you in the right area. Missing bulbs are usual if you don't have the option a particular bulb illuminates.
The bulbs come out of the sockets-

On mine it's one of the ones on the bottom row, on my husband's 99 it's center right on the fuel gauge. I don't know all the placements available. Just shine a light through with the bulb removed to confirm the right one if you aren't sure which it is.

Hopefully just burned-out bulb and not po removing the bulb because of persistent cel.

This video shows you how to remove the dash instrument panel to get at the bulbs. The video was filmed in reverse order because I decided to start filming the project after I already got it all apart. But, if you watch the video, you will see what you need to do.
