Replacing XREAS with regular shocks

I have committed to replacing the XREAS front struts and back shocks w/ conventional struts and shocks. My question is this: after disconnecting the XREAS feeder tubing from the old struts and shocks, what is the best way to "cap them off" so they won't spew hydraulic fluid all over the place after I get back on the road?

I've been fortunate as my XREAS is still fine at 145K miles but I've followed the threads knowing it will fail one day.

Be sure to find and read a thread with removal instructions because it's important to disconnect it at the right place. You may have looked into that already but I don't want to presume because it could be unsafe otherwise with a pressurized system.

As I understand it, most people remove it all, including the tubing. Do that and there's nothing left to leak.

I never bothered. You could simply pull the accumulators on the frame rails and all the lines.
