Request: RCI 5 degree vs 20 degree sliders pics.

Yea, looks so much cleaner, but as much as I wanted to go with the 20 degree ones, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the 5 degree ones with the top plate as well as the TRD Integration skid.

Now begins the wait.

Only thing about the top plate, besides being a little more expensive, is they're more difficult to keep clean. You'll need to hit the underside really well to get all the debris out of all of the crevices.

Congrats though... You'll be happy with them.

Hopefully these angles help. Honestly, I wish the front were a couple inches wider. They would be the perfect combination of step and slider if they were. They are a bit narrow getting in and out of the driver seat.

Questions: how close the 20 degrees sit, is there any purpose to having the top plate?
How much protection does the 20 provide? Seems like the 5 will provide more sticking out further from the vehicle. 20 does look nice.

I love my 5 degree rci sliders. Bought them and had them linex'd. RCI sold me on my aluminum skid plates for the entire underbody. I think you'll enjoy the rock sliders...

Ended up going with the 5 degrees w/top plate, loving them so far. Maybe I'm odd, but I find them to be a better step than the Predators.

I went with the rci 5 degree on my Tacoma with fill plates and they have been great. We will be doing same for the runner.

I've been thinking about this question as well and appreciate the thread. As clean as the 20 degree version looks and as tempting as it is to totally max out the clearance, I'm also leaning toward the 5 degree / top plate version since it's more useful that way and more truly dual purpose. Besides, it's not like the 5 degree version is going to be the lowest point or heavily impact clearance - it looks like there are still other things under the vehicle that sit even lower.

I also imagine that if I ordered the 20 degree version, even just one instance of someone struggling to get in the vehicle or injuring themselves trying unsuccessfully to use it as a step would have me regretting it.

Anyone with the 5 degree sliders willing to take a couple measurements from the 4runner frame out to the edge of the slider? I’d like to know how far they’ll stick out both at the front door and at the rear kick out.
