Ok so that were I am getting lost so there is a extra part that is the projector the pic is deceiving because it appears there is a projector in there. so its just basically the chrome.

Yep, the picture shows a projector behind the shroud, but it's just the Chrome shrouds for 40$.

ha ha wish this Retro fit would cost me 40... I am having to do several of them for friends with a tacoma and TR4 so I am using my rig as the practice dummy.

This is the missing link.

Just curious, did you read my projector thread?

If I were to do another retrofit I would consider looking at the clearance options on TRS website.

If anyone is interested in a budget retrofit I'd suggest PM'm me.

I'm about to spend some of my bonus $ on:
PHILIPS 85122XV C1 XTREME VISION bulbs $195

And am willing to sell my current Phillips bulbs ($95 new) for half off. Although used they have barely 10,000 miles odometer driving on them and even then the lights were only on a night time so they are nearly brand new.

Also I have the receipt from TRS.com and warranty. Compare that to the FAKES on EBAY and Amazon wit these bulbs.

There is a reason people here say buy from TRS. The EBAY stuff is fake. End of story.

I haven't read your thread on retro fitting yet but now I will ha ha .. Most of the stuff I came across in the search was 4th gen and 5th gen I got the concept of the idea, but u have provided me with the key which is a website for everything needed. The VLED site I was using, I was struggling to find the projectors and proper parts. .

Thanks for the info I have 3 rigs I have to do this summer so this stuff helps.

VLEDs is a cool site as well. Just know that the BRAND Morimoto is made by TRS. It is The Retrofit Source's very own brand, they own it directly.

So if you are on VLED's site and you see Morimoto for sale they are just purchasing the parts at a discount from TRS and selling to you directly.

Another tip ..... it is much cheaper to configure a retrofit on TRS's website by using the "Buy as a kit" option from the drop down menu than to add the parts to your cart manually. You save cash when you configure as a kit.

Of course you can save the most cash buy buying discount, clearance or slightly used parts!

WOW those two thread provided the best info I've read so far. After everything is finished u adjust the light using the factory adjustment correct or should I build in a Adjustment for just the Projector. The Lexus 460 projectors are looking pretty temping.

you use the factory adjustment.

the Lexus are nice but for $100 I would probably go with the G35 on closeout.

Yea that seem the best route to take plus I would have to cut a whole lot out of my headlights to fit those lexus 460 projector monsters dang. Where the G35'S wouldn't be to bad.
