Retrofit issues

Hey Guys,

So I'm having trouble establishing a strong connection for my retrofit headlights.
Sometimes when I turn on the headlights it won't come on until several attempts, does any one have any tips on how to get a good connection?

I try putting the u shaped metal everywhere to find a good solid spot but so far no good position yet, could it be that I need to clean the surface of the part I am connecting it to? It's not really dirty but who knows, thanks!

Do you mean the ground? You do need a good ground. I connected mine to the chassis near the spot where the battery is connected. If you can't get a good connection try cleaning around it or take some of the paint off.

It could be something to do with your ballasts. Where did you get your kit from? TRS had an issue with some of their morimoto ballasts.

Yeah sorry, ground, I'm going to clean it and try it out

Ahhhhh WTF. :spy:

A couple of questions will help solve this.

1. what brand projectors do you have?
2. what brand wiring harness do you have?

The harness will have a ground (like everything else in a circuit) but I can't tell what you are talking about in the statement above.
