Retrofitting oem foglights

I recently picked up an oem bumper with factory fogs to swap out with my chrome bumper which does not have fogs.
How tough will it be to make these work?
Do I need the complete oem harness and light stalk?
Or should I just buy an $8 aftermarket harness from Amazon and cut the plug

should be easy straightforward if you just buy an amazon kit and cut the plug
