Camburg Long Travel 5th Gen
Saw this Truck at SEMA in Nov. but, just found this article.
Not sure how they're running L/T without fiberglass. That kit looks pretty nice tho..........

It is long travel equipped in the front. With shocks and half shafts the Camburg LT front suspension is about $5500 alone.

Copy that. Ya is super expensive but, super nice.
My question is how is he running that without fiberglass fenders????
Unless it has a bigger bump stop or something not sure???

Ok, I am loving this tire size so far. They fit the truck way better than my 2957017 tg's did.
I took my time trying to figure the wheel offset and I am glad I did because they fit perfectly. The KMC wheels are 17x8 with 25mm offset to where my TRD wheels were a 6mm offset. this results in the new wheels being sucked in close to a .5". Now my tires even tho there are larger in diameter are not even close to rubbing while the wheel is turned. But I did do a lot of trimming and body mount chop. they only rub a little bit at full compression in the front.
Anyway I am super stoked on the new tire wheel combo and cant wait to air these bad boys down.........

Nice! but I'm a little confused about your setup... Are you using wheel spacers still?
8" and 25mm of + offset would put you at 5.5" of backspacing (not possible). So are you at 3.5" of backspacing with a negative offset?

I am running 1.25" spidertrax Wheel spacers. My Wheels are indeed 17x8 with +25mm offset. This fits perfectly with my wheel spacers. Sorry should of mentioned my spacers..

Got it, So you netted out to a 17x8 with 4.23" backspacing, which is about -7mm offset.
I wonder if 4.5" of backspace would have worked. There are a lot of wheels in 17x8 0 offset (4.5" of backspace) and 17x8 -10 offset (4.11" of backspace).

I think these are going to be my next tires. Let us know how much contact you have once off-road and flexing all the way out. I think I'm going to wait until I get my front bumper on to try them. I still keep wishing for 35s though.
These actually look about the right size on the 5th gen. 33s look so darn small to me.

Yes, other wheels would of worked for sure. But I saw these wheels on a Tundra at the SEMA show in 2007 and I have wanted them ever since. So I figured I would just bite the bullet and order them. I do not mind running spacers one bit and I do not like dished out wheels(high -offset) just my taste.

Yes, will do. so far I ran through a small trail by my house and they do barely rub at the top of the wheel well in the front. You do have to cycle all the way to full compression but still a slight rub. Nothing major I can totally live with it to have the 34's.
These tires seem much narrower than my 295's. I think the 295/70's and the 285/75's are definitely the way to go.
I agree the 285/70's are to small. I was able to run the 295's with just bilstiens and no body mount chop for a really long time on my 2011. The problems started happening when I added my wheel spacers

I think ur right you can run it with out fibergalss fenders with some modifications. That being said there is no way you would be able to use all the available travel this kit has to offer without fiberglass fenders. Maybe if you ran the stock tires or something. There is just no room in these wheel wells, unfortunately.

Yea, I like your wheels BTW. I'm just always trying to figure out what the best aftermarket wheel size/offset is for running larger tires on the 5th gen.... A few mm can make a big difference and the formula does not seem to be well understood. I know for 33s that 17x8 0 offset is about as ideal as you can get. In my experience the best offset to clear large tires is the +6mm offset with no spacers. That is the set up I had on my 2011 and I had zero rubbing issues. No body mount chop just moved the fender liner forward.
Unfortunately it leaves you with a very narrow stance and isnt super ideal if you like the wider stance. For some reason Toyota decided to make the wheel base narrow compared to the body. If you look at a stock one it looks like there is little baby tires sucked into the wheel well. Not sure why they did that but those are the cards we're dealt if you wanna 4Runner.
