Rhino Rack Crossbars (w/ OEM roof rack)

Anybody have much experience or anything to say about Rhino Racks? I've done a search on the forum, but there's very little if any information. I realize there's alot of options out there w/ Thule, Yakima, etc, but I am able to get a really good discount on Rhino Racks and am curious about their quality, fit, etc.

The SXBS8 Crossbars apparently mount directly to the factory roof rack. According to the 2nd link, they only add about 2" of height, so that's a plus. I prefer the lower profile.

I'm installing the crossbars to later accommodate a cargo/luggage box or bag.
Haven't found any pics online of a 4Runner w/ these. If you know of any, please share.

I don't think I've heard of rhino rack. Only the big two...Thule and Yakima.

If you have have done research you know big two are very expensive. I have the rail grabber system from Yakima. However, I put a trail roof rack on my SR5 and the rail grabber no longer fits as snugly as it did on the SR5 rack.

I am going to have to find a different rack system so I am curious about the rhino.

Keep us posted if you pull the trigger.

Just curious if you have any pics after you did the install. I came across these while looking at alternative roof baskets and noticed I need their crossbars to install it. With the way the mounts are, will it be able to accommodate the 49" wide basket they make (i.e. the mounts are narrower than the full width of the basket)? Thanks in advance.

I haven't ordered them yet. I inquired about them here on the forum to see if anyone had any luck with them, but it appears everyone here runs strictly Yakima and Thule. I'll likely pull the trigger on them in the next month or two---maybe Christmas. When I do, I'll post some pics and my general thoughts regarding their quality.

They look nice and they have a ton of accessories available. You don't say where you are other than SC but there are a couple of dealers in the S.Carolina/Georgia area maybe you could check em out in person.

Yeah you are right...looks like another Troll. Unfortunately every once in a while they sneak in.

I checked their profile and they are listed as "banned" and all their other posts were the same, paraphrased part of previous posts with the question mark image.
