It doesn't touch the fin, but it's close. I wouldn't ever put anything under the rack anyway, so no issues.

With 76" platform on top, and top of rail. It sits about 4inches above the roof.

How are you liking the rack so far? Any issues with it?
Thinking about getting this as well... my only concern is how much of the sunroof would be blocked.

I went with a Front Runner full sized, Slim Line rack to accommodate my rooftop tent, but have to say, that's one of the best looking 4Runners I've seen.
I'd like to paint my rails too. Do you recall what type of paint you used?
Was considering this rack, especially since their US distro is in Denver metro.
But, I can't wrap my head around how I would install snowboard racks and be able to have 4 boards. Pretty sure the rhino rack would get in the way of the bindings of the bottom boards.
Probably no different for any rack.

Rhino rack makes snowboard / ski / fishing pole holders that look really nice. They make a few different sizes and one that claims it will hold 4 snowboards.

I've got the pioneer / backbone setup on my T4R, I'm very happy with it.
More than once, simply outstanding!
I just got the platform (42100B) with CXB legs. The CXB legs however does not completely fit (or hook under the rail). Seems that the legs were "too short" that the lower 'teeth' stop at the lower end tip of the rail, instead of being longer and completely close.
From your picture it seems like that your cxb fits perfectly. Am I missing something?

I just kept slowly tightening the side screws on the CXB legs one side then the other, then it becomes snug to the rails. I haven't taken the pioneer rack off so I don't if something else is happening, but I haven't had any problems with it since it was installed.

I've got the Rhino Rack Pioneer with the backbone mount. I really like it. Clean, simple, lightweight, and holds a mulititude of mounts and accessories. For a few hundred more the backbone mount really strengthens up the system. Nothing wrong with mounting it to the factory rails but by the time you do that you are maybe $150-200 away from having the backbone mount.

I've attached some pix of the CXB legs, I had concerns of breaking the legs if I over tightened the screws, but it didn't happen as long as you tighten the legs evenly. I tried measuring the height of the rails. It should be the same as yours.

So i know i'm reviving an extremely old thread, but quick question - It looks like your accessory bar is mounted with some spacers underneath so the thule accessory can mount. Did this come from rhino rack with the spacers or did you have to improvise? Thanks!

yea, mine doesn't clamp on all the way either. looks like its a bit short.

Hi, to reply with a not so quick answer, I improvised. The accessory bar sits flat on the rack originally.
