Yup, nailed it. That's how the LC coils come...
ehhh. kinda. off of an lc yes. sonoran steel kit no. both coils are the same color. i'm gonna run the front bilsteins in the 2 inch setting so i'll post here once that happens. should save the cv's theoretically.
I pulled my rear shocks straight off a LC before they went onto my 4Runner. I would assume Toyota ran different springs per side, despite what Sonoran uses in the aftermarket..... The driver and the gas tank (both potentially heavy items) are on the drivers side so it makes sense (to me anyways) to have a longer shock on that side to compensate. I'd be interested to see if Sonoran's are the same length coils on both sides? And if so, why they would be equal? Curious...
I used to have my setup on the 2nd perch. It road great and the CV angles were super mellow. I only went to the 3rd notch to compensate for when I installed my bumper/winch. I am sitting at around the same lift height now on the 3rd perch, as I was before on the 2nd perch sans bumper/winch. My CV angles are still prime and I intend to keep them that way if possible. I really think having their "neutral" operating position near OEM should definitely increase their lifespan. You still do need to be careful at full-droop and lock but....
