Metal fatigue is relative to the amount of relative movement of the metal.
The rear springs move a lot more (1:1 motion ratio) than the front springs (1.7:1 or so), even though they are about the same total length of wire.
If designed right, springs shouldn't wear out (within reason).

So are new springs worth it since I already need to assemble the strut? Or I could just reuse my existing ‘00 coil on a higher perch on the 5100?
