Lookin good! You've got a limited, right? What did bud do for rocker panels? Or did I miss a beat here?

Yes it is a Limited. I just took off the rocker panels for now. I'm fine with the look since the truck is all black. You can barely notice anything down there with the sliders.

Just dropped off the truck to get a Body Mount Chop (BMC) done. No more rubbing!

No real updates to the truck as of late but I did just install a 2' firestik to replace my 14" rubber antenna. It looks much more appropriate now. I also washed and waxed the truck completely for the first time a couple days ago. It was a 5 hour job. I'm never going to leave Hollister mud on my paint for 3 weeks ever again. That was a really bad idea.

My Gobi Stealth rack should be in by next Thursday (hopefully). As soon as that arrives I can install the Rigid SR40 and Dually's.

I also talked to Shrockworks and my front bumper and full skids should arrive within the next 2 months. Wooo. not stoked. The wait is excruciating.

I'm also planning on making it out to the FJ Summit. I really want to get out there for that event.

BTW- what was the cost difference to get the full tread plating? How much all together was it?

Danny- That's a pretty heavy task man. haha. I don't even know how I would pull that off. I don't even know why you would need to see that angle. I personally think your over analyzing it. Just buy em.

All the pricing is on Bud's site. I got the full tread plating for no extra charge since something happened to the partial tread sliders I ordered during powdercoat. Bud offered me these for no additional charge since he had them ready to go. Awesome guy!

Gobi Stealth rack w/ Rigid SR40

Amazing product. The fit, finish and quality of this rack is top notch. I had Gobi make a custom mount for the Rigid SR40. It took a little bit longer but the fit and look is perfect IMO. I can't wait to go on our next camping trip. Definitely in my top 5 mods so far. If you need a Gobi rack, LMK.

The truck looks great man. I'm really liking all of it. I'm also planning on going with the gobi and a sr40 like you have. I really like the look of that setup.

Wheels and tires are coming up, and once those are out of the way, I will hit you up on the rack.

BTW, how much rub are you getting from the 295/65/18? I've considered them, but not sure. Especially since I am running on a daystar kit until I graduate college and am making some real money and can afford new CO's and all of the goodies.

Thanks! It takes a good amount of cutting and molding to run the 295/65/18's. I've pretty much cut and remolded all the plastic in the wheel wells up front as well as mold some of the factory lip up and out of the way. I also did a Body Mount Chop (BMC) and have my caster set to 3.5*. Running this setup is quite a bit more work then going with 285/70-17's. It's nothing difficult but you just have to have patience with it and be willing to cut and mold whatever gets in the way.

I'll definitely report back once I get the Rigid wired up. Just need to find the time to open up the dash a bit and run the wiring. I'm still un sure as to where I want to run everything. Anyone know which is the most painless way to run these wires?

Would you explain what you're doing here for antennas a little bit more? I see you put the firestick on in your stock antenna location. A firestick is tuned for 11M ...A vehicle's commercial FM radio is in the 3M band (I think - 2M is 144+ and 6M is 54-58). So it's not going to perform optimally. I think a Z4 Antenna would be a better idea in the long run.

Unless of course what you're doing is using the FM ant mount for your CB ant mount...then ok carry on then.

^It's not optimal but I rarely use the radio and when I do my signal is fine. I live in a very populated city where FM signals are pretty strong. My plan is to use it as a CB and a FM antenna. I just haven't gotten around to buying the splitter/receiver box to make that happen. A few of the FJ guys have gotten it to work pretty well.
