Did some snow camping with [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] on Mt. Hood last weekend. Definitely an epic trip. Can't wait to head out there again. All the recent mods on the truck did really well as expected. Really excited about where the build is at.

VTX Wheels

Stoked about the new wheels on the rig. These are the Outlaw in satin black from [MENTION=147568]VTXWheels[/MENTION]. Really impressed with the look, specs and especially the weight of these wheels. Specs are 17x8.5" -10 offset at 21lbs each. Also rocking their 50mm splined lug nuts in neochrome.

Right now they offer 2 styles, the Outlaw and the Terra. The Terra comes in a matte bronze finish. Sizes from 16"-18" are available for 4runner, FJ, Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra and Jeep, possibly more applications.

I will also be hosting a Group Buy for all VTX Wheels in the coming days. Keep an eye out if you guys are interested in getting some VTX's. The pricing I will be able to get you guys is way better than VTX has ever offered, even during their holiday/ black friday sales.

Met up with [MENTION=124732]LawnDart[/MENTION] a few days ago to snap some pics in the city (Portland) while there was still a little bit of snow left on the ground. Isaac's photo skills are on point. I'll let the pics speak for themselves.

Small little update, I ordered my rear ARB rear locker and ARB Manifold. Thanks to [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] for the hook. This is something I've been wanting to do for sometime now but could never decide on where to go in fear of things getting installed wrong and messing up a very reliable rig. I also thought the cost would be outrageous.

Thanks to [MENTION=117117]Seattle206[/MENTION] for the advice, I'm scheduled to get it installed next week by Nils over at Bull Built up in Washington. Nils is the guy who performs all of the differential work for ARB. If it's good enough for ARB, it should be ok with me.

The build is definitely winding down but the truck is DIALED. I'm very happy with where the rig is at. It's only taken 5 years.

Awesome truck man. Just curious, do you ever drive with the rigid SR-Q2 amber lights on? If so, does it bother other drivers?

I drive with them on during the day. I haven't had anyone flash me or look annoyed by them. They are definitely too bright to use at night.

[MENTION=103801]sn_85[/MENTION] [MENTION=135767]blacktrail[/MENTION] - It's a Prado 150 snorkel purchased from Amazon. Got some info from a couple of the socal guys as far as measurements on where to drill the hole and work it in from there.

19.5" from the headlight on the main fender flare seam is where the snorkel should start. 1/4 of the oval of the snorkel intake hole should be below the fender seam. We held the snorkel in place at that measurement, traced the hole with a sharpie, and started cutting with an angle grinder. Definitely not an install for the faint of heart or first timer but it really wasn't that bad.

We used some black waterproof rubber door moulding to fill in some of the gaps between the snorkel and the body to clean up the fit. To prevent rusting, we painted any cut and exposed metal on the fender. We also cut down the top of the snorkel about 2" so the head/pre-filter would sit lower. The goal was to have the snorkel be as low profile as possible. I might cut it down another inch or so since there is still some room for it to go lower. To completely seal the snorkel to my AFE Intake box we used some silicone to seal the rubber hose from the snorkel to the AFE box. Overall the install went pretty smoothly and I am very happy with the look and outcome of it.

Thanks for info brother, did the snorkel tube line up with the intake without problems? I kind of want to wait for the one made for the runner but this one looks so much better that makes it worth the little extra effort to make it fit

The snorkel tube lined up with the intake with no problems. There's at least 10 5th gens running this same snorkel and to date no one has had any problems. I went ahead and bit the bullet and did it because I liked the look of this snorkel over the Safari. I really can't get over how gigantic the Safari snorkel is. It's a major eyesore to me. I really like how low profile this snorkel is compared to the Safari. I'm sure it won't be as strong as a Safari. But at 1/6 the price of a Safari, I don't think I'll break 6 of these to justify the cost and look of the Safari.

Hey Thanks man! It's funny because i didn't do anything with the truck as far as modding it, for about two years. Then all of a sudden the mod bug came back and hit me hard. Completely changed the look of everything and basically built a completely different truck. Its definitely reached another level from where i originally intended it to go. I'm definitely really happy with its current state. Once the rear ARB Locker is on, i'll be pretty confident this thing can get me to most place i'd like to go.

**locked and loaded**

Rear ARB locker was installed a couple weeks ago by Nils at Bull Built differentials with no issues. Finally got around to installing the switch for it on Friday at the [MENTION=68685]Ducmonsta[/MENTION] garage as well.

I haven't had time to get out on any trails but i did go out last night to test it on a small uphill to flex the suspension out a bit and can confirm the rear locker locks, with no leaks. I can definitely tell the difference with the locker on. No slipage at all. I am going through those pics now and will post up. So far, I am very happy with it. I can't wait to get on some trails and really see what it's capable of.

Do you have any close up pictures of how you mounted the Rigid Ignite lights? I am thinking about putting some on my roof rack just like yours as alley lights, but I'm curious as to how you mounted them.

I will get some pics up for you. They're mounted using the mounts that come with the ignites through an existing hole on the Eezi-Awn K9 rack uprights.
