Fully agree! I am with Mark in that I don't want to hide my soon to be retroed headlights.

Wow that really did drop, looks like 1 1/2" maybe closer to 2". How much does that sucker weigh?
Also i'm curious, can your Hi-Lift lift the entire front from that bumper?

The bumper alone weighs about 150 lbs. It adds a good amount of weight up there. It probably lowered my front end about an inch.
I haven't tried messing with lifting up the front end with the hi-lift but I dont see that as being a problem.

Hi-lifts are inherently unstable even when lifting just one corner of a truck .. lifting 2 wheels with a Hi-Lift is a really bad idea, even if the bumper is capable.

Just some small updates for today.
First, huge thanks to member jangoforhire for keeping an eye out for some Icon rear trailing arms for me. He notified me of a scratch and dent set Icon put up and he PM'd me right away. Luckily I got to order them before anyone else got to them. It was a killer deal. Huge thanks!!!
These trailing arms are absolutely beautiful. These must be seen in person. They're huge! I'm hoping to get these installed soon. Best thing about this set is I can't find a single scratch or dent on them. Great score.
My Shrockworks full skids showed up today to. This pretty much completes the armor for the truck besides a rear bumper. Now to decide what color to paint these suckers. The skids are no joke heavy. These are going to add about 200 lbs if not more to the truck. They're hefty!
Just a random shot of the truck at the service bay at Piercey Toyota. The truck threw a check engine light and the pressure switch at the power steering pump ended up getting replaced and warrantied. They did a great job with everything.
I'm hoping to get the trailing arms and skids installed and the front end raised some time towards the end of this week. We shall see if time permits.

SOcal- Thanks man! The retrofit was done by Andrew over at The Retrofit Source. I bought some eBay TE style headlights and sent them over to TRS so they could install the projectors in the headlights. All parts used are the parts offered in the Group Buy I am putting together.
Specs on my kit are as follow:
FX-R Bi-xenon Projector's
E46 extended shrouds
5000k Morimoto bulbs
35w Morimoto Ballasts
I love the look and output of the headlights. Definitely worth the amount I paid for them. If you're interested, check out the Group Buy. It's a sticky at the top. It's a very affordable setup and is definitely worth the money.
Upgrade to the CBI 5k's...they put the Morimoto bulbs to shame!

So.....whats the tally so far on the build? The shipping costs alone have got to be mind boggling. I get your passion though, i have spent thousands of $ on bicycles over the years, some I still have, but seldom ride, some have been stolen, and some I have given away for little or nothing to kids that can't afford a decent bike. It's an expensive hobby, but I enjoy it.

Truck looks awesome! It was a quick build. The wheeling bug hits hard, only takes getting out once to hook yuh.
Perfect setup to get up to the sierras and do some camping / wheeling / exploring!

AZN- I ride for leisure and fun. Nothing to serious. I do eventually want to get to the track but afraid the track day bug might get me pretty hard. I ride a Ducati S2R800 which i've had now for a little over a year. I had an 848 but that guy was way to much bike for me so I sold it and stuck with the Monster.

Your truck looks great -- nice job. All the mods are functional and have a purpose and the look is really nice without being overdone
I have a 2011 LE that I've done nothing to and will stay that way at least until it's not my everyday ride. I'm not an off-roader but maybe one day that will change.

Nice! Was the 848 an evo? either way theyre awesome bikes, maintenance isnt the greatest but the dry clutch is just music to my ears. Im on a couple of honda's 600rr. Both are track duty for now, will probably be converting one back to street so I can get back on the road with the cagers.
