Ridiculous Truck in my Area!!

Snow makes some sense, but it's not like it's going to float on top of the snow weighing over 4,000 lbs. Plus steering must be downright terrible with it, I can't imagine it working very well. I think having it is 4WD would make it even worse since it'll just want to go dead straight!

Definitely creative, but downright impractical in my mind. Snowmobiles are so much more fun!

I've never driven on snow being from Texas and all but based on my reading I was under the impression you don't want to float on snow since it has no traction in itself. I was under the impression running higher air pressure in your tires is better to sink down to the pavement and get traction as long as there isn't ice under the snow. Am I wrong? The internet can be dangerous haha

Having lived in snow country all my life if I had money to throw away on a spare vehicle and these I would just for the fun of it. These have been around for a long time. They are not for the road obviously. They seem far more capable in deep snow than tires.

Snow has traction otherwise snowmobiles wouldn't work.

That sinking down thing works well if there's something to sink down to.
And there's not always pavement under foot.
Sometimes it's ice, bush, uneven terrain etc.

Anything more than a foot or two and the average 4runner even with half decent tires isn't going anywhere.
It also depends on whether it's powder, slush or hard pack.

Good video. Shows how capable they are.
Any normal truck with tires in that stuff would get hung up.
