Update
Been busy dealing with this thing on top of quarter-end at work, so here's the latest on the Adapt bar:
After several issues with initial light bar were confirmed, Rigid agreed to ship me a brand new one. These included multiple modes malfunctioning (random light pods flickering and/or not lighting at all), and even a rattle, which turned out to be loose screws on a few of the light pods/fixtures.
From the sounds of it, their engineers are foaming at the mouth to get this one back lol
The mount brackets that came with my Gobi Stealth only had one mount point on each bracket, and the Adapt bar has two mounting points due to it being one HEAVY light. After speaking with Gobi, I was able to have Rigid ship the new bar to Gobi first so they could get the needed measurements and create a new set of mounting brackets which should arrive today.
Moving forward Gobi will offer them for purchase, just ask for 'Rigid Adapt Mounting Brackets'. My Gobi contact was unsure when they will be available on their website, as they literally finished coating them yesterday morning, and FedEx picked them up yesterday afternoon to be overnighted to me along with my new Adapt light bar.
She did say due to this being the heaviest light bar they've seen, they made the brackets beefier. I had also requested they lower the position of the light to be more 'stealthy', which she confirmed her engineers were able to do. Pretty damn excited to see how it sits upon completed swap.
I pre-ordered this back in March with the understanding the advertised 'Adaptive Mode' functionality was included, and as Rigid continued to delay the release date, not once was I told the GPS module ($199) would be needed for 'Adaptive Mode'. Only upon receiving the light bar and reading the manual did I discover this was the case, which to me was unfair. In light of this and the issues I had, Rigid agreed to send me the GPS module for FREE + gave me a -30% promo code for anything else I wanna grab from their site (lens covers etc.).
I should have new brackets + light bar + GPS module install completed Saturday, and will hopefully be done dealing with this headache. As with any new software ver release or new products in general, it's the early-adopters who face and in-turn help correct the issues, so I didn't let all this get to me. I do want to say the folks at both Rigid & Gobi are top-notch, and went above and beyond my expectations to make this entire process painless, thus securing my future business.
Gonna be swamped over the next week getting our place ready to host inbound friends for W1 of ACL Fest next weekend, so I will get some pics and/or vids of this thing in action posted ASAP..
Including closeup pics to show the needed second mounting hole (marked area with sharpie) as well as the gap between light bar and base I requested they reduce...
