Rigid Industries dully D2's worth the money?

I want some bad! I've beat Google to death reading about led bars and lights, just cant bring myself to pull the trigger without seeing the output in person. You cant beat the power draw for light output I'm sure, something you could leave on for a while without the motor running. Another member a while back mentioned a local shop in his area had them on sale for 289 or something, that would be great.

I know it's not the Dually, but its comparable. I had a single 4 bulb Squadron on my dualsport and my buddy had the Trail Tech HID. The HID was brighter, but it was more of a focused beam like a 2 foot circle and the light faded out from there. The Squadron had an even light foot print across the whole beam. The HID projected further as well. The bike started to out run the Squadron around 65mph out in the open desert.
It really comes down to what you'll be using it for and if the light meets your budget.
I've owned several different lights over the years. I've had the Hella 500s, 4000s, Baja Designs La Paz HIDs, Fuego HIDs, Squadrons, Pro Comp 130s, Rigid 12" LED, and the Kragen HIDs.
Right now for me I've been running the Kragens on everything from the daily driver to full blown baja bugs, and prerunners. They can be had for almost nothing. The plastic mount is a little scary, but I haven't had one single problem with them. I just picked up 6 of them for $60 each nib.
It really comes down to what you'll be using it for and if the light meets your budget.

Whats cool with LEDS is you can change the beam pattern with the lense, run a dimmer on them, and have them be strobed.

I still think they are spendy even at $300 a pair. That's why I really want to make sure they're worth it. For example, you could run 4 of the if 968's and those are 100w each for the same price as just the pair of d2's. So light output wise are they worth it? I do like that they come in amber though.

I'm still hung up on the low low power draw for led's. I can see myself using the lights for a while without wanting to worry about battery drain. And, I like the instant on/off and or strobe capabilities. I just wish they were cheaper!

I wish they were cheaper too, and there was an easier way to compare them. There's so many people making them now and the price ranges from $100 to $2000. It also seems like the technology for the LED keeps getting better and what's out now will be outdated in a year. I'm hoping the technology reaches the pinnacle soon and the prices drop down.
