The staff here at TALV has a few of these in use, we keep one in every one of our daily drivers, offroad rigs, a RI-600 in the tool box, in the chase trucks and even one in the race truck. One of the techs here has been rocking an RI-1100 for 6 months now. He uses it everyday, beats it and drops it. It went to the KOH, Mint 400, and Baja 250 where it was dropped in water and sand several times. After wiping the flashlight down it looks and works like brand new. Its been extremely durable to say the least.

I just would like to chime in on these, my wife and i both have the 800 model, and we think they are great. Very well made, and great light output,i told my wife if someone is ever giving her a hard time, just shine the light in there eyes and get out of there, they won't be able to focus for at least 5 minutes, don't ask me how i know that. Total Automotive's customer service is a 10 out of 10 in my book.

Well because John is a long time customer of TotalAutomotiveLV and quite honest they have a great track record with this forum. Plus they keep a close eye on T4R.org and offer their expertise whenever a question is asked, it's not easy for a vendor to keep track with all these forums out there and so it's nice when one does. I've yet to buy from them but have seen how they work to get the best possible deal for there customers and that's priceless.
 
I'm really interested in the ri-1100 but I have a few questions.

1. how do you change from hi to low mode? Is there a seperate button to press to change modes or is it just the single button on the tail cap?

2. If it is just the single button, does this mean that I need to cycle through all four modes before I can turn off the light?

3. is the switch just on-off or does it also have momentary?

4. In the product description it says it comes comes with rechargeable batteries. Does this mean it comes with an extra battery or does it take 2 batteries?

Sorry for all the questions but I searched Google and couldn't find any answers

We personally use the RI-1100 here in our rigs. To answer your questions:

1. Yes, one button on top. Click thru the modes. The last mode you selected will be the mode that turns back on the next time. Lo-Med-Hi-Strobe

2. No, click fast to cycle thru modes, click off to turn off.

3. It has momentary mode at 50% pressure

4. The RI-1100 uses two and comes with two batteries :)
 
Are any of these models fully rechargeable ? I'm not interested in any flashlights that use traditional batteries . My experience with flashlights and batteries are there always dead when you need them . I recently experienced some rechargeable little lights and they're awesome. No more dead batteries.

Yes, these are 100% rechargeable and come with very hi-quality li-ion batteries as well as a wall/car charger. The usage time is long for how extremely bright they are.
