Rigid lights and 4wheels parts bad customer service

This is my response to someone on Facebook regarding a Rigid lights 4runner fog light kit that I ordered. they had the same problem with the shipped item, but I wanted to share with everyone. I get it people make mistakes but don't stick the customer with your mistake.

I have to say never again will I buy a Rigid products or shop with 4wheelparts. I called Rigid and was told to send an email with a picture of the part I received, and they would next day the other part. Guess what, no shipment and they said they can’t look at the picture and tell me what part i need? I don’t have the part on me or how to tell what side, it’s not marked L/R. I did not make the part. They can't look at the picture and tell which side I need? They can’t tell what part I got (right or left) from the picture? They keep asking me what side.

I said just ship both brackets and i will return the other piece, they would not do it. They gave 4wheelparts a refund on the order? 4wheelparts wants me to pay for return shipping to them instead of fixing the problem. Such bad customer service. I am returning over $800 in rigid lights now, plus I have another $800-$1000 lights I planned to order after I tested out these lights.

I looked at getting Baja lights now, but not in love with the look of the light bars. I would like to find lights with a similar look to the Rigid. I was willing to pay for a good quality product. Maybe a should get a cheep made in china product that comes correctly shipped.

think the blame is on 4wheelparts. Most companies let retailers handle problems, when its within the retailers return period. I wouldn't blame rigid as you didn't buy directly from them.

If Rigid knows they messed up, just send out 2 brackets? How much does it cost to make a bracket?

Rigid loses a big order.

Why don't you contact Rigid, speak to someone that can actually make a decision, have them agree to ship you both brackets (on your dime), when you figure out which one is the one they did not supply, contact them and send the other one back for full credit when they receive it....

Or, get 4wheelparts to do the same.... they are the one's who fulfilled the original order....

You joined in November and have 22 posts and you come on here complaining about a product but did you even attempt to get under the car to see if the brackets are correct? I'm not trying to be an ass but sounds like you are a fairly new owner of a 4runner.

I run the Baja Design fog lights and this is what their brackets look like. You screw 1 of each bracket to the light. One side wedges into a bracket on the fog bezel and the other 2 holes, you use the screws from when you remove the fog housing unit. From the looks of the one you posted, it looks like it should work. Get under the car and see if it does. Don't believe what others tell you on the internet. If you got under there and tried installing it and confirm it does not work then contact all parties involved and figure out. Good luck and report back to us!

Since they only shipped 1 of 2 brackets I did not waste my time trying to do a half install job. They sent out quite a few orders missing parts. Rigid was no help, they could not grasp the concept of fixing the problem. 1 person say we will ship the part but never did, another person can not figure out right from left and wants me to tell them( they could not look at a picture of their own product and know what it is ), I would if I knew. A third person gave a credit to 4wheelparts who wants me to send back the parts on my nickel. I did not get what i paid for and they want me to pay to fix it? Rigid should have stepped up and fixed the problem and 4wheelparts should not leave a customer stuck.

After spending $800 dollars would you just say ok?

Just because i am a new 4RUNNER owner does not mean i should except bad customer service .
