Sucks that your diff blew. Why you gonna sell?
I'm curious to see what you actually grenaded in your diff. Ring? Pinion? Carrier?
As for your parting out and selling comment. I am just going to pretend I didn't read that.
You looking into a Land Cruiser or something? I would have a tough time letting the truck go if I were you, with all the work you've put into it.
I will drive down there and shit on your lawn if you sell...
I also want to know why! But I also want to be first in line for some of your mods...(vulture)
Ill just answer all these at once.
WHY:
In the past 10 months I have broken: Front diff, rear diff, driveshaft, both rear shocks snapped in half, gas tank, bent up bumper, etc.. What else can I possibly break?! Im not gonna stick around to find out what that something is.
This truck is too nice to keep risking it on the trail, I want to go all out on a rig but not one like this.
Also im sick of my mileage, even though I do better than most at like 19 average I still have to buy premium.
part out:
Next week you will see all of my for sale/trade ads. Everything must go. Gonna trade lift for stock or low lift, yakima system, bumper for stock bumper, tires/wheels for stockers, supercharger + upgrades, 2M HAM with motorized antenna, FMU, Cargo box, upper links I just built, etc..
The E-locker, Tundra brakes, and CB will stay, maybe the FMU too.
What else:
I want to go from an all in one DD to a sporty gas saver and dedicated weekend truck.
Im looking at 1.8T B6 A4s and 1st gen Lexus IS300 5speeds for a nice car. Something quick that gets mid-high 20's on gas and is somewhat luxurious. Will probably throw some wheels and coilovers on it and do a stereo system and intake/exhaust.
For a weekend truck, I will start looking for either an early tacoma or a 1st - early 3rd gen 4runner that is 2wd with a blown engine or something. Get it super cheap. Then swap in a chevy V8 and axles of my choosing and go full beater trail rig on its ass.
