Hello all! I figure Ive been on here long enough that its time to start a build thread. Plus its getting to the point where I cant keep track of all the things Ive done to her, so here goes...

My dad searched for a while all throughout Missouri for his dream 4runner before he found it in 2001. It was a one owner, low mileage 2000 SR5 with locker, limited flares, and most importantly gold badges (he just haaaadd to have those). In 2012 I started looking for one of my own when he decided to get a new car and give me his at a pretty steep discount.

Went from this:

To this:

The first thing I did was take the running boards off and its been a never ending project since then. Heres a list off everything so far:

Engine:
-ISR mod
-Deckplate mod
-NGK wires and plugs

Suspension
-Eibach/Tacoma Bilsteins up front
-LC 8 wraps/OME 60027 in back
-Poly sway bushings in front

Exterior
-Entire truck covered in black Monstaliner
-4XInnovations front bumper
-Smittybilt XRC9.5 winch

Lighting
-Retrofit headlights, mini h1/gatling shrouds/halos/4300k bulbs
-Headlight and corner light housings painted satin black
-Sidetracked offroad T6 pods on CBI ditch light brackets
-HID retrofitted generic 4" yellow fogs
-Factory fogs welded in corner of 4XI bumper
-Blinkers relocated to corner lights
-Pfran led reverse bulbs
-LED dash and guage cluster bulbs in red/white/blue theme

Miscellaneous
-Uniden CB/Firestick antenna/homemade mount
-Duralast Platinum AGM battery
-Big 3 wiring upgrade
-Blue Sea AGC fuse block
-Junk Clarion head unit
-Stickers under hood for extra horsepower

How did you like your Mazda 3? That's the car I plan on getting In the future for my daily driver. I read nothing but good about them

How'd you tackle the door handles when you monstalined everything?>

i've always wanted to line-x my truck..... just don't have $2,500 to hand over to a shop

I just taped over the key holes and sprayed right over them. One little spot stuck when i used the handle, but it couldve been avoided my moving the handle while it was still wet or running a knife through the creases.

It's not too hard to do by yourself if you have the right tools. I rented a compressor for $50, bought the gun and respirator for about $40. The hardest part was sanding which wouldve taken a few days by hand but my uncle has a body shop and was nice enough to help me with his air powered sander and we knocked it out in 4 hours.

I dont think I can say anything but good about it either. I got it when I was 17 and drove it like it was a rally car. Nothing ever really broke aside from a rod bearing(my fault, low oil), even after I nearly totaled it. It handled like a dream and the 5-speed was great. I've never really cared for the looks of the new ones but im sure theyre still good cars. I'd highly recommend it.

haha close. I met Ol'Blue a while ago at Moonlight in Sullivan. Not too many of us though. I can count the number of members I've noticed from the Ozarks on one hand.

I hear that OlBlue guy is a real character.

Any time you want to run the parks or the back roads just let me know. I'm between Conway and Springfield most the time.

We just did Stocker No Locker w/ mo4wd at Moonlight. Good times. Got a nice start with your little 4Runner. Guess with the monstaliner pinstripes (the tree kind) and not a thing?

Will do. Believe me Ive been wanting to get out there but between school and work Ive barely had time to breathe. Ever go to SMORR? If I ever get down that way ill let you know, always wanted to try that place out.

Yea I was lookin at the events on MO4WD tonight and saw that I just missed that. Went to it last year and had a blast. Im gonna keep an eye out for the next event though.

There better not be anymore pinstripes! That was my main reason for doing it...my last clearcoat was basically nonexistent after all the trees ive drug it through. Its only been on about a month now so I cant verify but from what Ive read its supposed to be near invincible.
