Road Rage against a Motorcyclist

This older guy is either on something, just plain certifiable, or has real anger management issues.

The rider showed incredible restraint. I don't know if I would be so charitable under the same circumstances.

To all fellow riders: Watch out for angry lunatics out there.

Not just riders, everyone should be aware crazies are out there. I had a guy try to jump into my car at a stop light. Started cursing at me and threaten me because I wouldnt let him in.

I watched this video on another site last night with my wife, and tried to convince her that THIS is why I need a GoPro when I ride. I haven't convinced her yet.

My Triumph has a 50 cal ammo can mounted to the side of it - there's no telling what's in there but the second some road raging pencil dick tried to assault my passenger wife he'd be choking on the contents.

I saw this video on facebook, I can tell you that if that were me and anyone regardless of age pushed my wife, I would have definitely thoroughly worked him over. I have restrained in the past after an older gentleman put his hands on me, but my family is where I draw the line and idgaf.

I don't care who the person thinks they are, attacking me or one of my loved ones is not okay. I'll put up with a lot of stuff and maybe even take a punch or to to avoid confrontation, but attacking the people I love and care about will never be tolerated and will result in protective action.

That's just sad that someone would even think such an act is okay.

Road rage can be pretty terrible. Here in San Diego we recently lost a Navy Chief (who was on a bike) due to a woman drivers road rage. She killed him with her car after an altercation.

But for the grace of !! This close sometimes with bikers & Vatos drivers that said ,I can be a lil aggressive at times ? Before bikers flame me just mainly those gopro rice rocket guys who's egos are bigger than their ** . What impressed me was the rider & his composure just holding the guy down speaking to him calmly . Look at when this guy's eyes refocus you can tell he's had a few or is medicated , going from possessed to like oh oh where am I !! Guys GF almost inflamed the guy more .

Dude was way more composed than I would have been. Take 2 (or was it 3) punches, watch your girl get pushed, and remain that calm. Not me.

I usually give bikes a lot more room than I do cars. Even if the guy is being a douche, I don't want to be the one laying a bumper or tire tread to his/her unprotected body should something happen. As for the guys on bikes that are jerks, judging from their typical attire and riding style I figure they'll do something dumb and turn themselves into a lump of hamburger soon enough without my help. The rest are no problem at all, and I don't mind sharing the road with them.
