Road Rage incident

Road rage incidents are higher in the summer months.
High heat decreases peoples tolerance and sets them off when it's hotter out.

Hey, I live about a mile up the Wilderness Oak hill from that intersection. It's a speedway, once or twice a year the motorcycle cops work it for a day or two.

Last guy who brake-checked me was on I-85, light traffic, Atlanta, GA. Cop saw the whole thing, driver (out-of town guy in a rent car) was arrested. GA is tough, all traffic violations are misdemeanors and are arrestable, especially if you talk tough to the cop.

Blanco has gotten out of hand with speeders. Especially coming from Blanco heading north after you pass Heubner. I think they need more cops on that little turn.

That's a very dangerous pay-back to admit to doing. Next time, you may not have a satisfying end to such a transaction.

Expensive, even deadly results happen often from this sort of thing.

Eh, too slow to be deadly. Plus my left turn was coming up. His action had worse potential. But you’re not wrong, fair point brother. Wow this gets better. A guy made a turn like this in front of a friend on his motorcycle. He wasn't able to get out the way in time. Thankfully his injuries aren't too bad. Stay safe out there everyone.

I believe it's not about who is right or who is wrong. it's about when to stay away from these circumstances. though sometimes it's very tempting to pursue the driver that might have caused you an accident, this road rage will always end up badly.

use your self control. just think of it this way, that other driver might be having a bad day or could be just looking for trouble.

Wait a sec here. So, those of you saying that IM in the wrong for turning on the ONLY turn lane and getting in the left lane when the dude in the mustang was BEHIND me this whole time. So you’re saying I’m in the wrong for it, but the guy behind me was in the right for doing the exact same thing, but yet I’m the one who needs to learn to drive?

I literally told the cop the exact story I put on here and he said that should warrant no reason for this guy to act the way he did.

Regardless of who you think was in the right or in the wrong, that’s your decision and I honestly don’t really care that much. I was only asking if anyone else had any sort of actions like this taken against them at any point.

Trust me on this anything you do that gets into you drawing a weapon gun knife even a base ball bat, that might end up getting you in to court just is not worth proving a point.

You were both being unsafe idiots. Turn right, end in right lane. Turn left, end in left lane. Don't care if it's a T intersection this still applies. Traffic would flow better EVERYWHERE if people learned this simple trick to legally negotiating a turn. If it was a T intersection and you turned right, properly; then another driver headed the opposite direction, but turning the same direction onto the same road, could turn left at the same time as you effectively reducing congestion, in theory.

Only sith deal in absolutes!

Also, if you even yelled at the guy while being armed you could get busted hard. Same as having a pistol, concealed or not, on the sidewalk and getting into a shouting match with someone. I believe it's the exact same as brandishing, even if you don't touch the firearm.

Somehow, when it’s 9pm at night and no one travels much on that road, I don’t feel like I’m being that unsafe. At 5pm? Different story, of course I’m trying to drive a little more careful win a lot of traffic.

Also, as far as regarding a firearm being in the vehicle or whatever else and getting in a shouting match, I specifically raised up my windows in my vehicle when I saw him going around me at that red light, purposely avoiding any type of confrontation or shouting match.

Again, as I’ve stated, I try to avoid all types of conflict, especially when it comes to road rage in this city. I’ve seen and heard too many stories about it and I’d rather not be in that situation. Even if it means that my car gets dented, but my girlfriend and I or even family can walk away unharmed.

I get it, everyone has a different fuse box wired into their brain that sets them off, and everyone is different when it comes to driving.
I didn’t feel like I was in the wrong, especially when it’s that late at night on a not so busy road at that time and I’m just minding my own business driving casually. If someone thinks that I deserved it, well good on ya matey

I bought a small dashcam there used by everyone in cities in Russia and many other countries, it is a great help later when you need to show what happened.

This is why my Glock goes everywhere with me. People are insane and think they can do whatever they want without repercussions.

Dash cams are great. I find that when I feel like something may escalate, I snap a picture of the plate as soon as I can. I have probably 6 plate photos in my camera roll from the last 6 months lol.

True. But my guess is that the guy in the Mustang was attempting to get around the "slower" SUV in front of him. He probably got bent out of shape when that SUV unexpectedly turned into the left lane.

That’s what I initially thought. But what confused me is the fact that he was driving completely normal, wasn’t on my tail or anything the entire time UNTIL I looked in my mirror and saw him riding my ass. There was literally no aggression showed at all until that turn.
Confused the heck out of me considering he was behind me the whole time and completely level headed, wasn’t speeding or anything. Anyways, still pisses me off but overall I’m just glad that no one was hurt. Except my truck [emoji35]
