Road Trip

I might be taking the truck on a road trip around 1500 miles and was wondering if you guys, and girls have any sugestions on what i might be in for or what i might do to ensure a non eventful and safe trip. Whats happening is my company is shipping me off to another wind turbine job, im not complaining cause i get a 600 dollar a week raise, which means the runner will be geting some upgrades. So any sugestions on preventative maint?

Oh, The runner has 159k miles on it

Mine's got just 'bout 200k miles on it and has never let me down!
I'd go for the 'runner.

Took mine from CT to VA 3 times last year 165,000. not a problem
and I get 22 Mpg if i keep it 65 :bigok: 13mpg ouch:runaway:

The other option you might want to consider is renting a car. You can get something with better fuel economy than even the 4Runner for pretty cheap, and it'll keep the wear and tear off both trucks.

That said, given the two trucks, the 4Runner will probably not let you down.
