Rock Slider Advice

I recently bought a 4runner that had some 4x innovations sliders installed by the previous owner. I was practicing using my Hi-lift on the sliders and noticed they seemed to bend upward under the weight more than I was expecting.
I'm not to familiar with sliders so I was wondering if this is normal.
I've also been checking out photos and it seems like most people have 3 legs/mounts connecting the sliders to the frame, where as I have only 2. Also its welded directly to the frame, doesn't have the mounting plate like a lot of photos show.
Are these installed correctly?

Yep, looks like it's missing mounting plates & maybe gussets. Many people here have complained about 4xinnov bending up from rocks etc. I'd take them off & sell them or if you can weld add a third leg & bigger gussets.

Yea, you should have at least 3 legs on those, I built 4 on mine. There should also be some plates on on the frame with gussets that spread the load out on the frame. The frames aren't that thick, the way those are installed it wouldn't surprise me if you caved the frame in.

If the sliders are OK themselves, I'd cut them off even with the frame, add a couple legs and flat plates.

The sliders are good condition, previous owner didn't land on any rocks with them (thankfully).

I don't have any welding experience, so I think I am just going to have someone weld in 2 more legs, but this time add plates and gussets to the new legs. Hopefully that will add enough support.

It's missing plates and a gusset. Will it demage the frame ? Yes and no. Yes if you really use your rock sliders. No if you just use it as a step. I'd cut it of. Grind it down and weld plates.

That's what happened to me originally. I welded my sliders on without plates. But fixed it later after cutting them of.

+10 on what others said about frame plates and gussets. But those don't look like 4xinnovation sliders - at least not their current version.

Since others have already identified that your sliders are not installed correctly...

4xInnovations has their slider "testing" videos on Instagram. I especially like the roll cage testing (I laughed a little), but the slider testing was cool =p. They also have a robot welding their stuff? I think that's freaking awesome.

the robot is badass......!

I have Demello sliders with 4 legs, plates and gussets on mine, and they still flex slightly and contact the pinch weld under the full weight of the truck on a point load (like a rock or log).

That said, the sliders distribute the weight even enough so that no damage occurs, not even paint transfer or divots on the powdercoat.
