Rock sliders with 3" body lift?

Anyone out there using sliders with a 3" BL if so can you post pics please, just want to get an idea of what it will look like and if any mods need to be done

I wouldn't weld them on at stock height then add the body lift, it would look stupid. Install the body lift andJust weld them higher on the frame, should look the same as everyone else.

Please explain? When I purchased my runner the BL was already installed but I've done all the suspension work myself, so far no complaints about it or any concerns about the BL, I mean don't get me wrong I don't like the look of the BL installed, wish I have the same height without looking at the frame in sight but I'm just working with what I got

Im just saying i like the height im at, just wish a body lift wasn't involved because the frame is so visible in a "SARCASTIC" way if you guys get what I mean, anyways not to change the subject but back to my first question is if anyone out there running sliders with a 3" BL

Actually body lifts are pretty great, compared to other lifts they raise the center of gravity much less since the body itself weighs less than the frame and engine. they usually give a better approach and departure angle, and you can mount your rock sliders higher or at an angle which gives you more clearance. once you mount the sliders you wont be able to see the frame as much.

Really nice, but dont you have a solid axle? Isn't there more clarence compared to having independent suspension?

Here is a runner I've seen that has been built from the ground up on 4" springs with 35's no body lift compared to mines with a 3" body and 3" suspension with 285's

How do you figure that the body weighs less than the frame and engine? Let's say a gen3 weighs 5000 lbs. I would guess that the 3.4 and tranny/tcase max weighs 700 wet.

I have a SAS Black Truck and a White one that I'm running a half inch body lift on. The Black one has a 1inch BL. It give just enough for the 37s and the springs I'm running.

Now the White truck I had to put a BL in. I screwed up when I put the rock sliders in. I put them to close to the body so there was no flex at all and it rattled horrible!

In the end it really comes down to tuning the suspension man. In reality you don't need a body lift if you choose the right tires. I really like the 255x85 but they are trying to phases them out. BOOOOOOO

Now with that being said my black truck is just built stupid silly but it is made to wheel. The only other thing I want for that is the Taco box so I can have triple sticks:bat:

I guess what I'm really getting at is this. Why do you want that much body lift? Second just go bigger suspension lift man. I just looked at your truck again.

The cab height is pretty good but you have little to no more than stock ground clearance? Any reason you built this like that? What size tires are you running also? Also, love that color combo. Looks great man.

if you do not want it body lifted 3" you can easily remove the 3" lifting blocks/pucks and replace with shorter ones. Simple process. 5 bolts left side, jack up slightly, remove blocks, install new ones, bolt, lower, repeat on right side.
I suggest 1". gives a bit of extra clearance to mount sliders a bit higher; truck looks stock but just a bit tougher in a subtle way.

i mean lifting just the body is less than lifting everything. a 3rd gen weighs 4000 stock, but i have no idea how much the body/frame/engine weigh.

Well like I mentioned before when I got my runner the BL was already installed, my front set up im using the toytec/eibach coils with adjustable bilstein 5100's set on the 2nd perch, which I supposed to be getting 3" of lift give or take, im running 285/75/16 tires, after reading more I got curious so I measured my front ground clearance and im at 14" from ground to the bottom of my diff. Now I'm even more curious as to what everyone else ground clearance is at? Gives me an idea to start a new thread lol
