RockyMtnHigh's Build Thread

Sounds like it shaping up nicely. Congrats man! Mine comes in this week and I've got some plans myself. What part of CO are you in? I'm in Albuquerque but we go to Durango pretty much every year for vacation. This year I was really missing the off-roading. You know where I can find a good map/description of trails in that area? Durango/Silverton/Ouray? I know there's some great spots from hearing people talk about them but don't know really where to find them. Anyways, congrats and good luck with everything!

Thanks! I live in Castle Rock. We're going down to Ouray/Durango in a couple weeks. Check out Traildamage.com for all the trails you can handle!

Went to Toytec and picked up my lift.

Took the 4Runner out on some new trails. Still very impressed with this truck in stock form.

Man I'm jealous, I'm in the concrete jungle of Chicagoland, wish there was trails around here to take my new TR4 on! Was planning on flying to Denver next summer to see some friends but now I may end up driving.

You should definitely drive out. So many trails and places to see. But be careful....you will probably end up moving here.

Also installed diff drop, stainless steel extended rear brake lines and did an alignment.

Ditched the Thule rack and had a custom rack built. I wanted it to look the same as my Whitsons rack for my 3rd gen. Came out something like this..

I built the mounts to attach to the factory holes

Painted it flat black

Overall im pretty happy with how it ended up. Now I will get a Gobi ladder, a wind deflector and some lights. Eventually I want to get an ARB canopy.
