Haha thanks, it quickly became a money pit but now that its done I couldn't be happier. It gets all kinds of looks and its great taking corners. Do you have a Z?

Well if you can find a relatively rust free '70 or '71 240, you should buy it now because they're getting harder to find and the values are getting crazy. Id like to get another one soon.

No kidding. I kick myself for not picking on up 5 years ago. Or picking up an E30 M3 15 years ago. Or a long nose 911 15 years ago.

I received my lights from GG Lighting that I ordered on Black Friday. I got (4) Led pods and a 30" light bar. I wanted to mount the bar behind the grill for a more stealth look, and the pods on the roof rack for some nice wide flood light.



First I removed the front fascia. Pretty straight forward.



After spending hours trying to decide how to fabricate my own brackets to the bumper....I mounted the supplied brackets and found that the bar sits perfectly onto a little tab that holds the factory plastic shroud.







So all I had to do is make a couple L brackets and bolt it in. Perfect positioning and very sturdy. Couldn't be happier.





With the fascia back on.

I mounted the LED pods to the roof rack and ran the wires along the windshield molding.





A couple night shots with the lights on. These lights are extremely bright and so far I'm very happy with them. I know they're not Rigid but they look good, they're bright, cheap, and come with a lifetime warranty.





I also got some custom switches from Offroad Arsenal. Nice little touch.

Nice build. I recently purchased a new TEP and am planning out mods I want to do. I notice on most of the builds I've seen on this site people swap out the stock wheels. I'm very much in the educating myself phase right now and am wondering if there is something inherently inferior about the stock wheels, specifically the TEP wheels in my case. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Not at all. I actually like the trail wheels, just wanted a little different look. I think its just personal preference. Good luck on your build :thumb:

The trail wheels are great. No need to switch them out. Most people are just doing it for aesthetics. The TRD Pro wheels are very popular right now. I might pick up a used set when they aren't as popular and people are unloading them, but for now I'm certainly happy with the stock TEP wheels.
