Roof and Rims

Hey guys,

I just washed, clay bar and waxed the 4Runner today and I'm left with a few question.

1) You guys wax the roof of your trucks?

2) What do you guys to protect your rims from winter road salt? I've read applying car wax to seal them but I'm worried about the heat of the brakes...

yes, I wax the roof of the truck. if you look around you'll see lots of cars with sun damage on the roof....because they never waxed it. Not sure about your hot wheels question. I use a product made for wheels on the wheels.

If I am taking the time to wax I am going to do it right and do the roof. Putting a couple coats of wax or sealer ( or even both ) on your wheels is a good idea. The heat won't matter.

Not waxing your roof is like not washing your head. The roof and hood are in the most need of wax due to sun protection.
