Roof Molding Came Up

So after a car wash one of the black moldings, directly under the roof rack, came up on the drivers side. I was able to stick it back in place but its not secured to the roof. I don't want it blowing off in the future. I actually just had the entire roof replaced due to hail damage so I'm assuming the body shop didn't glue it down properly. My question is what's safe to use to glue it down and is the OEM actually glued down?

Use a silicone sealer. Black or clear would work. A little silicone on the sides press it in wipe of the extra. Let it cure overnight.

mine is popping up right where the roof slants down above the A pillar. Ive glued, siliconed and done everything i can think of. Its just staying like that because i cant get it to stay down. Ill be following this.

Just was getting an estimate on a windshield, and questioned the guy there about the molding on the front like LTDSC mentioned, as mine has a raised point on it.

We pulled it up and in that spot it has some double side tap to help with holding that section down, he stated that that certain spot is prone to stick up higher there.

As far as the rest that run down the channel, it has a channel lock area for the molding to lock into it, as V8Man stated, put some silicon sealer in there with it, let it cure also, and it should give it that extra grab in it's slot.

My driver side has come off.. it was during a move across country. I've kept it off for the last two years.
