Mounting

Wondering if you bought this rack or for anyone who has mounted a rack that requires drilling. How difficult is it to have to drill into the car for the rack and make sure it’s done correctly? Any tips?

I know a few people mentioned it but I’m curious if anyone’s bought and tried the Frontrunner quick release mounts with the prinsu yet?

its easy. measure twice. use a marker and tape. then check it again. sheet metal drills easy lol.

Good to know you can walk on top of the rack. Was thinkin Gobi initially but this rack seem to be a good alternative.

I did this last weekend. The Front Runner bolts wont fit in the Prinsu rack's track so you need to get 1/4"-20 carriage bolts and lock nuts to fit the track. Pretty easy setup.

Do you have any better pics of how high this is off the rack? I've been thinking of doing the exact same thing. I'm tired of wedging my arms in there trying to bolt the tent down! I'm currently using Prinsu's 1" mounts. They work, but there's not much clearance.
