Sorry for the delay in answering!
I have Radflo 2.5" suspension installed. I ran it on my 4th gen for about 10 years, had Radflo rebuild them and easily installed them on my 5th Gen. My tires are stock sized Falken WildPeak AT3W's . All my vehicle mods are here
Sun To The North: My Expedition Vehicle & Trailer
I was recently in Colorado near Silverton and accomplished some really difficult wheeling with the Falkens providing wonderful traction over rocks, snow and ice. Deep sticky mud was a failure for traction but after I slid through the muck the tires quickly self cleaned.
Unfortunately we were moving every day so I did not bring the trailer and the RTT. I used either a ground tent or a hammock as conditions allowed.
As you can see on my blog, I generally use the RTT & trailer combo in all sorts of terrain!
